Job Description

1. STRATEGY - Partners with S+ and US merchants to feed product strategy and innovation funnel
• Identifies and analyzes the US market and Sephora stores’ trends (long term fundamental trends and fashion trends)
• Communicates to the Global S+ team key inputs: US market needs and trends, US consumer needs, US latest launches.
• Integrates them into concepts to feed the brand innovation funnel (for global or US only projects)

2. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT - Manages US-Specific development projects in coordination with S+ and US merchants
• pro-actively proposes projects to S+ team / US team in order to anticipate US market needs and grow business.
• builds on US team inputs to build winning mixes (including concept writing, packaging proposal, pricing strategy)
• develops the agreed projects from concept to in warehouse delivery (A to Z development including concept writing, purchasing, formulation, regulatory, quality, lead time and project management)
• works hand in hand with S+ support team based in Paris (Global marketing, Packaging studio, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Legal)

3. BRANDING - Ensures Global cohesiveness
• Facilitates Communication on all US / Global projects
• Maximizes global synergies
• Integrates Global strategy and branding elements in all specific developments

Skills

1. Marketing experience in product development with 5 years of experience preferably in cosmetic industry.
2. Great capacity to lead project, from vision to detail
3. Proven success at managing multiple projects in parallel with tight deadlines and growing the business
4. Reliable and organized
5. Acts proactively and innovatively
6. Fan of make-up and fashion
7. Open, international minded, collaborative and flexible personality for great communication and partnership with Global team based in Paris and US team (merchandising in SF and marketing in NY)
8. Analysis capacity and trend vision
9. College degree preferred or equivalent experience
10. Ability to travel.
