Job Title: Marketing Manager, Simple Brand
Location: Goleta, CA
Summary:
Under the direction of the Global Marketing Director for Teva and Simple, will be responsible for all traditional marketing planning and management and sales integration inclusive of media planning, public relations, database, email campaigns, VSM, website architecture/management and retail integration for the Simple Brand. Direct responsibilities for agency management, media, coop advertising, web architecture, retail planning and strategic packaging. In addition, this role will manage a marketing coordinator and work alongside a creative services department.
Main Responsibilities:
• Monitors demographic factors so that changing market opportunities are recognized and exploited and the effects of competitive activity minimized.
• Evaluates reaction at the retail and consumer level to advertising programs, merchandising programs, and collateral and selling materials to ensure program objectives and goals are being met, and that timely adjustment is possible. Includes selection of appropriate media as well as contract negotiation.
• Plans advertising activities, focusing on the logic and communication of campaign
• Assists in the development and execution of short and long range marketing plans and programs.
• Elicits two-way communication with internal customers to maximize focus and efficiency of marketing efforts
• Monitors the timely execution of projects as well as project effectiveness.
• Manages outside agencies for tactical execution
Education/Experience/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree minimum with marketing focus.
• 6-8 years marketing experience, preferably in footwear or related industry
• College Degree required.
• Must have at least 6 years marketing experience, preferably in footwear or related industry
• On-line marketing knowledge necessary
• Proven, successful track record in effective marketing management
• Must have the ability to work effectively across all marketing disciplines
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Should have a positive, energetic working style
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
