EMAIL AND CATALOG CIRULATION MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY
This role will reside within the Analytics team at Sephora. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and execute circulation strategies and analyze campaign performance in store and online for both email and postal mail. The successful candidate will be able to segment customers across multiple dimensions to identify the optimal circulation plan to improve customer response. The candidate should also be able to analyze campaign results and communicate objective findings to a broad audience. He/she will contribute by providing actionable, data-driven insights to cross-functional teams including but not limited to brand marketing, merchandising, and finance. Beyond creating the targeted lists, there is a key focus on helping to design, manage, analyze and report on testing within the circulation programs to drive business performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze customer behavior to develop campaign circulation strategy
- Perform Customer segmentation analysis; recommend targeting approaches to improve marketing performance.
- Design and implement tests and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs.
- Create campaign circulation strategy briefs and present to cross-functional teams
- Troubleshoot data related issues between internal and external systems
- Generate catalog campaign mailing lists and work with mail house to ensure lists are processed in an accurate and timely manner
- Analyze campaign performance and develop standard reports to share with cross functional teams
- Provide actionable insights based on campaign analysis
- Understand all sources of customer information and partner with IT to ensure data accuracy
- Manage relationships with cross-functional business partners by providing objective information derived from data to support their functional areas
REQUIREMENTS
- Requires bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience
- Experience in database marketing preferred
- Strong experience with data mining tools and query tools such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, Cognos, Business Objects
- Familiarity with online analytics tools such as CoreMetrics or Omniture and syndicated research sources.
- Advanced Excel experience
- Exceptional problem solving and analysis skills combined with the ability to communicate findings to all levels of an organization
- Superb attention to detail
- Experience working with multi-functional teams
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and handle multiple projects
- Ability to prioritize and execute
- Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources to arrive at optimal solutions
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
