As a contributor to the creative team, this position is responsible for writing web and marketing copy, for multiple distinct brands and diverse channels ranging from online product descriptions, product naming and promotions to in-store signage and internal communication. Plays an important role in crafting compelling brand messaging that consistently communicates strategic company initiatives. Adept at originating creative ideas while being responsible for meeting deadlines. Able to use a variety of voices that reflect the look and feel of each brand, as well as speak to different audiences. Also requires expertise in copyediting and proofreading for all projects, including print and online.
BA in English, Marketing, Journalism or related field. 1-3 years of professional writing experience, Marketing and Web experience required, and Retail experience preferred. Knowledge of marketing and branding principles and the ability to utilize the web as a research tool. Familiarity with fashion and web jargon a must. Superlative verbal skills with an emphasis on creativity. Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously. Driven self-starter with a proactive approach to serving professionals in a client-oriented environment. Demonstrates an ability to take direction and feedback, especially in creative areas. Has knowledge of and ability to work efficiently in MS Office Suite for PC, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
