Job Description
BILLABONG has an immediate opening for a Merchandiser / Product Developer for Men's Boardshorts / Bottoms including Denim.


Job Description

Duties to include, but not limited to the following:
-Work closely with Designers and Management to develop Boardshort /Walkshort and Pant lines.
-Create and maintain line plans for Boardshort /Walkshort and Pant/Denim lines..
-Create and maintain matrices.
-Extensive communication with overseas vendors to to ensure new development, protos, and salesman samples are received correctly and on time.
-Review all protos, salesman samples, and pre-production samples and send comments / updated matrices to vendors.
-Handover of development to production department.
-Negotiate costs with vendors to ensure margin requirements are met and product is priced competitively at marketplace.


Key Requirements:

*Candidate should have a background in apparel and knowledge of garment construction and fabric/textiles
*Experience with Import Development a must
*Must be Deadline Driven
*Must be able to Multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
*Pro-active with a solution/result oriented attitude
*Must be MAC computer literate in Applications - Adobe Illustrator, Word, Excel, Outlook, PLM
*Candidate should have at least 2 years experience in merchandising/product development.
*Previous experience in the Action Sports industry a plus.
