Bloomingdales.com Shoes Planner (NYC)

Overview:
Develop divisional, vendor and item plans for the web and catalog channels. Partner with cross-functional teams to meet or exceed the plans for sales, gross margin, inventory and fulfillment level.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop sales and inventory plans by division, vendor and item/color for the web and catalog channels that meet the company strategy and financial targets
  • Develop monthly OTB forecasts of sales, receipts, markdowns and inventory level. Determine actions necessary to maximize sales and meet inventory targets
  • Create initial orders and reorders to meet inventory needs and plans
  • Responsible for initial in-stock percent (fill) through communication with vendors and timely follow-up on deliveries
  • Track open purchase orders and delivery status
  • Address daily/weekly item-level projections
  • Ensure purchase orders are accurate in quantity and date through timely PO maintenance and FTC compliance
  • Communicate with buyers and site merchandisers to develop tactical plans to maximize sales and reduce inventory liabilities
  • Work with DC, item set-up and finance teams to identify opportunities and resolve issues
  • Manage vendor relations to assure optimal productivity
  • Attend Market appointments as necessary with the Buyers
  • Prepare various analyses and reporting where necessary to support business decisions

Qualifications

Skills Summary:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three years experience in planning and/or inventory management (preferably in a catalog or internet environment)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficient computer skills - especially Excel
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
