Position Profile:

The Liquidations Catalog Merchandising Analyst is responsible for the creation and performance of liquidation/ sale catalogs. This position is charged with all aspects of managing and merchandising sale catalogs including analyzing performance and implementing changes based on prior catalog results.



Company Interfaces:


The position reports directly to the Liquidations Inventory Manager located in Sunderland, Vermont. The Liquidations Catalog Merchandising Analyst position interfaces internally with UK and US inventory teams, Marketing, Advertising, and Roanoke VA Fulfillment Operations team.



Key Performance Measurements:


Financial - Achieve demand, gross profit and contribution goals set for both catalogs and package stuffers.



Quality - Achieve initial and final fill goals set for each mailing. Continue to develop best practices in earlier identification of sale product and space allocation in catalogs.



General Responsibilities:


· Merchandise printed sale efforts. That includes identifying products, pricing and allocating space for each item placed in print.


· Measure and analyze sale catalog performance. Create and maintain Merchandising Analysis and plan reports for all catalogs.


· Work with Inventory Control and Merchandising to identify items for earliest exposure in sale catalogs.


· Assort all items in IMP for each catalog ensuring accurate square inches.


· Create and maintain line review sheets in a timely manner and hand over to Advertising based on calendar needs.


· Attend Art Copy meetings for each catalog to ensure accurate catalog layout and item square inch allocation.


· Communicate all photography needs to Advertising.



Qualifications Required:


· The successful candidate will be a results-oriented individual with strong numerical, mathematical and written communication skills.


· Detail oriented and have excellent judgment and decision making ability.


· Committed to meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment is a must.


· Working knowledge of Excel, Word PowerPoint. Orvis product and AS400 knowledge a plus.

· BA/BS degree in business related field and 3+ years relevant work experience.
