Junior Planner (Los Angeles)

Our client is a dynamic, fashion forward LA-based vertical retailer seeking a Junior Planner who will report to a Senior level Merchandise Planner and be responsible for the development of annual plans utilizing current sales and trend information while translating the Merchant vision into viable plans and profitable results. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a growing fast-paced team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop assortment plans to the class level by store groupings as well as develop and monitor unit plans, projections, inventory flow, promotional strategies and seasonal sell-off plans
Develop projections and inventory flow for key items/collections
Partner with Merchant to develop and propose tactics in response to current business trends
Forecast monthly and seasonal store plans for allocation, OTB Plan and store review
Partner with Allocation team to develop and utilize seasonal selling by region, climate, and store attribute
Partner and communicate with cross-functional teams in Merchandising, Production, Allocation, Marketing, Operations, Visuals, Distribution, and Logistics
Provide other analysis related to driving business goals including hindsights, color/pattern selling, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree; finance, operations, retail management, and/or business required
1-3 years of experience in: retail merchandise planning, inventory replenishment, demand forecasting, assistant buying, merchant/merchandising or allocation
Strong comprehensive retail math and analysis skills
Strong systems and database skills, especially in Excel
Above average communication and presentation skills
Ability to build relationship with cross-functional teams
