Calvin Klein Jeans, a division of Warnaco Inc., has an exciting opportunity for a talentedDesigner Wovens Womens to join our team. To design and execute seasonal concepts and strategies for the Calvin Klein Jeans line while maintaining the aesthetic. Involvement in all aspects of specific classification. In addition, your primary responsibilities will include: Work with product development team on developing new fabrics, trims, and washes. Communicate with PD team to ensure vendors understand any special details, trim, or treatments so they can execute our visual. Create tech packs with design team and technical designer: ensure accuracy and timeliness. Communicate details to PD. Attend all cross functional and departmental meetings. Work with design team on creating/ updating seasonal line sheet/map. Partner with Manager and Merchandising team to review key concepts and line development to ensure all are in agreement. Work with the Design Director on research. Provide tear sheets, sketches, and samples bought from diverse sources: present newest concepts and silhouette ideas to manager. Hold daily touch-base meetings with team members to organize workload and trouble shoot. Attend all woven fittings, execute fit according to agreed upon direction. The ideal candidate will also posses: Collaborate with the product development, merchandising, research and development, textile and graphic teams to develop new concepts and techniques Research trends for each season and shop the market for new top designs & details Minimum of a 2 year degree in Design and a minimum of 5 years experience.
