Marketing Assistant (Financial District)

Marketing Assistant


The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for project support and all administrative functions related to the Marketing Department. Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
§ Support and assist in the coordination of all internal and external events: registration, logistics, planning, research, etc.
§ Support and assist in the coordination of all international and national public relations projects/follow-up
§ Maintain and update key process and activity documents including conference calendar and other marketing activity tracking spreadsheets.
§ Support and assist in the coordination/deliverables related to sponsorships
§ In house creation of select collateral pieces and invitations (via MS Publisher, Photoshop)
§ Post speaking events and news on Facebook and other relevant social media channels
§ Maintain/update vendor resource area on website
§ Print and update separate marketing collateral for various teams
§ Produce and maintain press kits (U.S. and global)
§ Assist with managing marketing budget and billing
§ Organize and maintain marketing files and publications
§ Interface with executive team, staff, clients and vendors regarding marketing-related projects
§ Attend select marketing-related seminars and classes to enhance marketing skill set
§ Additional administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:
§ Minimum 2 years of marketing experience
§ Undergraduate degree required
§ Familiar with standard marketing concepts, practices and procedures
§ Strong organizational skills
§ Strong computer skills – MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; basic HTML; Photoshop, Internet savvy
§ Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
§ Positive, “can do” attitude and sense of humor
§ Excellent interpersonal skills
§ Detail-oriented
§ Self-starter
§ Accountable—Takes ownership of work
§ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
§ Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
§ Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
§ Ability to maintain confidentiality
§ Flexible – ability to “roll with the punches” and help out where/when needed
§ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
