Public Relations & Marketing Manager (San Francisco)

The Public Relations and Marketing Manager for Nasty Gal ( http://shopnastygal.com ) will be responsible for leading our Public Relations and Marketing Department which include a variety initiatives like PPC, communications and public relations activities, including developing communication materials with the CEO and graphics team.

Nasty Gal is looking for a results-focused marketing guru with well-rounded experience, including strong interactive experience, and an undying passion for driving revenue growth.

This position is a critical piece of Nasty Gal’s team and will own all marketing activities for the business. This person will develop, own, and execute Nasty Gal’s marketing plan. We are looking for someone with a strong focus on growing revenue through ROI-focused marketing programs. The candidate will be very hands-on and needs to be comfortable with strategy, implementation, analysis, writing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and execute the marketing plans for our Brand which includes Nasty Gal’s community, Interactive Marketing Solutions and Online Display Advertising
• Identify and develop traffic driving opportunities to increase audience and reach
• Develop, plan, execute, and manage all online and offline marketing campaigns
• Manage internal and external advertising, SEM, public relations and and work closely with CEO and graphics team
• Identify partnership and cross-marketing opportunities, and coordinate these relationships
• Writing press releases, develop and maintain press kit, and archive/organize press clippings
• Report to CEO

Accountabilities:
• Drive traffic growth for Nasty Gal
• Drive new customer acquisition
• Design and implement strategies to increase customer/member engagement and retention through both SEO, PPC and Social Media
• Track and regularly report on marketing and sales metrics

Skills

Required Skills:
• Substantial knowledge of, and experience with, internet marketing (including SEM, display advertising, sponsorships, CPC, CPA/CPL, content marketing, and affiliate marketing) is required
• An understanding of blogging, social media, and public relations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to write clear, persuasive marketing copy
• Web-savvy with knowledge of key trends and players in the small business blogosphere and social media space
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite Creative, collaborative, and forward thinking
• Experience managing substantial PPC/SEM campaigns
• Entrepreneurial, with a strong business acumen
• Experience generating substantial traffic for web properties
• Customer focused
• Strong understanding of customer acquisition models
• Experience with Web Analytics tools, specifically Google Analytics
• Willing to be very hands-on and implement strategies with a very small team
• Experience with managing/marketing a product or Brand
• Ability to develop a deep understanding of our customer and culture

Experience:
• Significant interactive marketing experience
• Experience using Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Chictopia, and online fashion communities
• A demonstrated history of creating and implementing marketing campaigns that drive positive results
• At least 3 years of experience are preferred. Please highlight these in your cover letter
• Team player who can multitask, wear multiple hats, and has experience working in a fast-paced small team environment
• Experience with fashion, especially online based fashion marketing is a plus
• Education: BS/BA in marketing/advertising, English or equivalent experience, required.
