JOB DESCRIPTION
American Apparel is looking for a Hosiery Department Assistant with superior organizational skills. This is an entry level position that offers training, if necessary. This individual should be detailed oriented, able to work independently, and be able to take initiative. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and eager to learn.

This is an hourly position. Compensation is based on previous work experience and salary history. Other duties of the position include but are not limited to those described below.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist with organization of all development samples
* Logging all Lab Dips per style and season
* Communicating with internal departments on as needed basis
* Following-up with samples with Vendors
* Assist with following-up and logging quality issues
* Maintaining a development calendar by style and season
* Submitting daily inspection reports on findings
* Pick-up and/or delivery of samples

REQUIREMENTS
* Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel
* Excellent communication , organizational and reporting skills
* Must have reliable transportation

PREFERED SKILLS
  • 1 year experience in a high paced office setting
  • Available to start ASAP
