See Jane Run E-Commerce Marketing Manager (Bayview, CA)

See Jane Run is a small retail and e-commerce business in the Bay Area selling running apparel, footwear and accessories to women. We are looking for a highly motivated, highly talented person who help us drive our e-commerce business to the next level. We are a small team of athletes (runners mostly) and are looking for someone to round out our team. This is an on-site job.

Primary Responsibilities
The E-commerce Manager works directly with our marketing department to direct, coordinate, plan and organize all aspects of our online e-commerce business including SEM, SEO, product images, product descriptions, and order fulfillment. As part of the role, s/he also designs online and offline promotional postcards, ads, and other marketing collateral as needed to support both the web and retail businesses. The e-commerce manager will supervise the activities of employees who provide phone and Internet-based customer service for online and special orders.

The E-commerce manager is responsible for the complete lifecycle of our ecommerce business from new items being put online, to inventory updates, search engine marketing and optimization and fulfillment.

The See Jane Run E-commerce Manager position involves both overseeing others as well as a high percentage of practical, 'hands-on' work. The following duties and responsibilities are meant to describe the basic functions of the Manager. We are a small team. You will wear a lot of hats here.

• Ensure all products are presented on our website constantly and timely;
• Update website daily with new products and images as needed;
• Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met;
• Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress;
• Develop, maintain and monitor warehouse policies and procedures;
• Scheduling employees;
• Communicating with other departments, staff groups and customers;
• Oversee stock control and processing orders;
• Ensure quality, delivery and budget objectives are met;
• Carry out responsibilities for the use of automated and computerized systems;
• Respond to and deal with customer communication by email, fax and telephone, as needed;
• Assist to keep stock control systems up to date;
• Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
• Supervise, train and hire employees to work in the warehouse;

Experience
The ideal See Jane Run E-commerce Manager candidate may come from a variety of industries but will most likely have a successful background of at least 3 or more years in an e-commerce environment, with at least 2 years in the role as a manager. Extensive design and Adobe CS skills required.

• Minimum of five years of experience in design with a background and understanding of corporate identity systems
• Degree in design or related field
• Working knowledge of ASP, XML and HTML
• Understanding of interactive/web medium
• Prior experience in managing graphic identity projects with demonstrated ability to maintain the corporate identity in all marketing collateral
• High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3, with knowledge of pre-press.
• Possess a strong sense of aesthetics and graphic design of an organization
• Experience and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Proven ability to be a self-starter, creative, and strategic
