Apparel Production Manager (San Francisco)

We are a vibrant, small (3-person) San Francisco golf apparel company in search of a terrific Production Manager to work 20-30 hours per week, flexible hours. Job Title: Production Manager.

20-30 hours /week- may move to full time as company grows

Responsibilities:

o Organize production, create and maintain production schedule, and manage relationships with sewing contractors.
o Work with contractors to ensure finished goods are received on time and to specifications; ensure quality standards are met at sewing contractors and perform quality control inspections of finished goods and raw materials.
o Work with pattern maker and design for first - production patterns.
o Maintain style specification library and tech pack for all styles.
o Ensure sales reps have complete and on-time show line samples and sales materials.
o Track, forecast and order raw materials for upcoming production runs, follow-up as need.
o Source fabric, trims and notions, organize sample fabric and swatches.
o Investigate and recommend production improvements, i.e. software applications, logistics etc. as needed.
o Investigate and recommend new sewing contractors, suppliers as needed.

Qualifications:

o Five-plus years experience in production management.
o In-depth understanding of apparel production.
o Superlative organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and execute to meet schedules and production deadlines.
o Knowledgeable of garment construction and garment specs. Technical design expertise is a plus.
o Familiar with technical fabrics and finishes.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Strong computer skills. Requires a high level of expertise in Excel, Word, and MacOS mail, Mac OS. Expertise in MYOB/Acclivity or QuickBooks and Illustrator a plus.
o Experience with and affinity for working in small/startup environment; self directed and willing to do what it takes to get the job done and done well.
o Strong inter-personal skills.
