As a member of the Old Navy Inventory Strategy team, the Consultant will focus on delivering supply chain process and technology improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role possesses proven problem solving skills and is comfortable working within a cross-functional environment. Responsibilities include:
- Own and manage individual projects or components of larger initiatives, specifically issue identification, data analysis, process / tool definition and implementation planning
- Lead and/or manage teams to deliver best-in-class solutions
- Create qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess areas of opportunity
- Build relationships across Planning, Distribution and other business functions to deliver timely and appropriate solutions
- Deliver formal presentations and training across all levels of organization
- 4-6 years work experience required
- 2 - 3 years of demonstrated analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Experience in supply chain management / inventory management required
- Experience with demand planning and forecasting
- Experience creating financial/operational models
- Experience gathering and documenting process and tool requirements
- Experience delivering presentations and/or training to large groups
- Interest in / knowledge of retail and apparel industry
- Combination of industry and management consulting experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to lead in ambiguous environments
- Execution and results focused, with emphasis on on-time project delivery
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Exceptional oral and written presentation skills
- Ability to link tactical details to strategic vision and financial results
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
- BA/BS in supply chain, business, economics, statistics or engineering
- MBA/MS in supply chain, statistics or engineering preferred
