Production Coordinator/Office Assistant (Los Angeles)

Seeking a professional, responsible, organized and energetic production coordinator/office assistant for a growing handbag design business for 20-25 hours/week. Position could easily lead to advancement and additional hours with the right match.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a business/admin position: It is for someone who loves organization, numbers, and efficiency; and, has entrepreneurial interests, marketing ideas, is open-minded and has great sense of humor. This is not a design position.

The ideal candidate has solid experience (3+ years) as an office assistant/coordinator and the following skills:

1. Self-motivated- must have a strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
2. Professional, responsible and has integrity
3. Strong organizational and business communication skills (writing and proofreading skills)
4. High attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize
5. Enjoys working in a supportive role and in a fast-paced environment
6. Must understand deadlines and complete projects in previously agreed upon time-frame.
7. Knowledge of Macs & PCs a must, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email programs), Database software (FileMaker, Now Contact), Internet, and Quick Books. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator preferred
8. Must be comfortable around friendly dogs
9. Interest in fashion is also a plus
10. Must have a car
11. College degree preferred

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Oversee the production/manufacturing of our products
2. Process orders
3. Update and maintain website and press materials
4. Maintain database and mailing lists
5. Coordinate travel plans and tradeshow planning
6. Send out mailers, email newsletters, etc
7. Light-bookkeeping
8. Customer service
9. General office management and organization
