Tilly's Administrative Assistant- Buying (Irvine, CA)

About the Job

SUMMARY:



An Administrative Assistant is an entry level position in
the Buying department.​ He or She is responsible for the administrative support
of the Buyer’s area of responsibility.​ The following is a brief description of
responsibilities to be performed by the Administrative Assistant.​ This position will not be limited to just
those responsibilities described below.​







ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Purchase
    Order – Entry, faxing and follow through (revisions, tickets, samples,
    etc)
  • Organization
    – Files, Samples, and Photos
  • Data
    Input – Reports, Purchase orders, Markdowns – ensure input is accurate and
    executed in an efficient and timely manner.​
  • Warehouse
    Responsibilities – Verify new receipts and identify problems and
    discrepancies.​ Follow QC processes.​
  • Maintain
    Positive Relationships – Internal and External (Vendors, Visuals, Planning
    & Allocation and Marketing) Communicate in a professional manner and
    respond with timeliness.​

EDUCATION and/​or
EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office
software



·
Able to effectively utilize basic office
equipment



·
College degree preferred









LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Excellent interpersonal skills



·
Strong verbal and written communication







MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:



·
Ability to apply retail math concepts in
planning and management of business is preferred







REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data,
establish facts and use basic problem solving skills
