Job Title: Copywriter
Location: Goleta, CA

Summary:
Under general supervision duties includes development of all written elements of brand communication.

Main Responsibilities:
• Partners with the product team to research and write all product copy for each forthcoming season
• Partners with development team to research and develop all technical copy for each forthcoming season
• Assists the brand and corporate PR departments in the development of seasonal press releases
• Develops written materials for use in retail co-op advertisements included but not limited to TV scripts, radio scripts, branded tag lines for advertising etc.
• Partners with the International department to create culturally accurate translations of branded content on a consistent basis
• Partners with the Creative team to develop seasonal brand storylines for distribution at retail, on the website, and through social media
• Contributes to the content management of various social media outlets
• Researches, gathers, and codifies the UGG glossary of terms

Education/Experience/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, or Advertising
• 2-4 years related experience
• Research and/or editorial experience preferred
• Must understand global communication variations
• Deadline oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications
• Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities.
• Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills

Skills:

Proven experience writing for different audiences in different voices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented with an exceptional talent for proofreading. Proficiency required in Word, Excel, Acrobat and PowerPoint on PC platform. Ability to work independently and prioritize projects effectively. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. Exceptional command of the English language; additional fluency in language other than English a plus, but not necessary.
