We are seeking a CAD/BIM (Building Information Model) Supervisor ¡V REVIT specialist with experience interacting with project teams from Schematic Design to Construction Documents for our Los Angeles Office.
This key position will assist in the implementation and support of other CAD technologies such as Autodesk MEP and will be an integral part of the Design Technology team. Candidate will support CAD/BIM production and standards, assist in training on the REVIT MEP platform and coordinate with interoffice collaboration in a nationwide environment.
Especially important to this role is the ability to serve as a resource to project teams using REVIT MEP and AutoCAD MEP and to be willing and able to occasionally work side by side design teams to complete projects on tight deadlines. Candidate must communicate well, both verbally and in writing and be able to transfer knowledge in a comprehensive fashion. Hands on REVIT knowledge as well as REVIT
Implementation experience is required. AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry background and knowledge is strongly desired.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
„X Use experience in technology and REVIT applications to improve the quality, practice, and delivery of engineering designs to our clients.
„X Work closely with the Digital Production Leaders to train and help them to understand systems and established processes.
„X Manage relationship with external CADD/BIM system consultants.
„X Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training.
„X Provide support for REVIT questions with a process for disseminating that learned information to other staff.
„X Develop and document training procedures/revisions and conduct REVIT training when necessary. Such training may be done one-on-on, classroom or via web.
„X Monitor conformance to standards and processes for REVIT.
„X Conduct inter-office coordination meetings relating to REVIT
„X Ability to find creative solutions to users problems through research and development.
„X Maintain, update and organize the REVIT content library.
„X Work with Autodesk to resolve major technical issues.
„X Create additional content when needed, (Family development).
„X Recommend, document, implement, and enforce CADD/BIM system policies, procedures, and standards.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
„X Prior experience with an MEP engineering firm is highly desired.
„X Multi-disciplinary thinking and familiarity with the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades.
„X Must be a Revit Expert, preferably the MEP portion.
„X Ability to understand all parts of Engineering Contract Documents.
„X Proficiency with AutoCAD; AutoCAD MEP 2010, and NavisWorks a plus.
„X Ability to work independently with little supervision while functioning as a part of nationwide support team.
„X Must have above average troubleshooting skills, strong analytical problem solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical questions.
„X Any IT related or helpdesk support knowledge is a plus.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 years experience managing CADD/BIM systems in an engineering/contractor environment.
Experience as a Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or fire protection Designer\Drafter.
A minimum of 6 years relevant experience using AutoCAD or other CAD\BIM Platforms.
