Our client is a fast growing private label manufacturer of sports accessories and they are looking to add a seasoned product developer to their team. In this role the person will be

developing accessories(yoga mats, weights, headbands, yoga blocks). The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years product development in the action sports, sports and fitness, or accessories industry preferred but not required. Knowledge of molded products is required. (i.e. Plastics, metal, trims, screen prints, appliqués and other embellishments) Must have costing and development experience with Asian factories.

QUALIFICATIONS:
AA or BA in fashion design, manufacturing, or related field

The PRODUCT DEVELOPER is the key role in the creation and dissemination of technical information and documentation necessary for the timely and quality manufacture of The products. A principal responsibility of the position will be to track and monitor progress of all product development and production projects.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Initiate, as well as track and monitor progress of, all product development and production. Position is responsible to ensure accurate and timely execution of product development and production processes.
2.Provide Director with weekly update and summary in both written and verbal form of all projects highlighting any areas of concern with action plan for remediation.
3.Produce, manipulate, and modify technical sketches of accessory products using Adobe Illustrator based on input from Sales and Design/Creative.
4.Using input from Sales and Design/Creative, account requirements, and institutional knowledge create technical packages containing accurate materials, construction, packaging and other technical information to be used by factories in calculating costs for and producing products.
5.Review prototype, pre-production, and production samples against technical packages and provide factories with feedback and constructive criticism together with clear direction that brings about successful completion of projects within given time constraints.
6.Interface with Customer Service Representatives to answer product inquiries from wholesale accounts and end users.
7.Collaborate with others in the department to manage work loads to meet deadlines while achieving the highest level of accuracy.

High level of proficiency in the following computer applications:

Assistant Product Developer

Assistant Product Developer - Shirting

Responsible for the timely development of shirting fabrications (yarn dyes, prints, and embellished) and woven shirts, ensuring products meet company standards for aesthetics, cost, performance, fit, and function. Develop shirting specifications, consisting of bill of materials, sketch, measurements, and construction details. Follow through with all mills and factories to ensure that all levels of developments are tracking on time as well as pricing, minimum, and leadtime. Review deskloom, labdip, and print strike-offs for color and quality approval. Review prototypes and sales samples for fit, quality, and construction. Work on a team comprised of developers whose responsibilities include managing the successful launch of all new products within the designated categories.

Responsibilities:
• Assist team in seasonal color palette development
• Assist team in color management (color standard orders, trim color assignments, etc)
• Develop CADS for all fabrication
• Develop shirting fabrics with all designated mills, follow through thoroughly to ensure development adheres to timeline and all pricing information, leadtime, and minimum information are gathered
• Development and Production specification management – illustration using Adobe Illustrator, garment grading, bill of materials and color summary files per season, using Excel
• Manage commercialization process; review prototypes/sales samples, measure and evaluate materials, workmanship, construction, fit, function, production feasibility and communicate with factories/agents.
• Attend fit session – communicate fit/ pattern changes & corrections with factories/agents.
• Monitor and manage product development and production timeline with all partners to ensure department
• Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure all materials and components have been tested and approved.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Proficient use of Adobe Illustrator, Excel and Word
• Tech savvy to quickly learn new design software
• Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks and work independently of supervision
• Detail orientation with outstanding follow-through
• Fast acting and capable of adapting quickly to change
• May require periodic travel
• Design eye for colors & trends
• BA preferred focus in fashion, design, or merchandising
• Internship at related industry desireable

Position Description
We are looking for a motivated and fashionable Product Stylist to accessorize catalog photography, editorial photography and video shoots. This role is an integral part of the Production department and a major contributor of the overall style of Tobi. We are a growing business but still maintain a start-up environment, so this individual must be flexible and in turn will have exposure to a wide range of experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Stylize and prepare all clothing and accessories for catalog photography, editorial photography and video shoots
- Select and maintain styling supplies, clothing and accessories
- Work with photographers and models during photography and video shoots to capture the ideal frames
- Manage time during photography and video shoots to minimize studio production time
- Maintain workflow for all other functions within the Production department to ensure expedited completion
- Coordinate models, hair stylist, and make-up artist at the appropriate budget

Qualifications
- A passion for fashion and stylizing
- BA required with at least 2-3 years of applicable experience
- Ability to complete work on schedule, prioritize, and follow procedures
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and aptitude to multi-task

Product Development Associate
Description: PRIMARY ROLE: Works with Designer to implement all specifications of product and assemble into a complete WEB product package to pass to Suppliers. Work with mills to research new fabrics, finishes and applications for product innovation ideas applicable to Haggar product. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with Designer to develop product ideas into marketable wearing apparel for the Haggar brand customer. Focused attentions on Bill of Materials, new item set up, cost varification, and promotion of new styles / Works with Mills and Suppliers to research and develop new fabrics, finishes and applications for Haggar product and bring ideas to the Design and Merchandising area to consider / Develop PDF packages on WEB with product and trims specifications to pass to suppliers directed by Production & Sourcing on the supply matrix. Coordinate with the Textile Design Department the attachment of the CAD to the respective PDF file / Implement and Monitor the product thru the development stages until final approvals are done on color lab dips, fabric qualities, trims and counter samples. Communicate product development details to suppliers. Review submits and advise comments on approvals of each to suppliers within 48 hours of receipt. Coordinate the fit and make approval with the Technical Designer. Pass approved garments to Production & Sourcing for record so they can order appropriate season sales samples / Coordinates product development within the department and within the Mens division to ensure product design is consistant and meeting the needs of retailers/end consumer by complying to the the Merchandise Season Line Plan / Receive and send design packages to suppliers during the development stages of the line / Monitor testing results through lab on development product and help to establish standards on new performance items developed for the Haggar brand
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree
· Excellent Computer Skills, Microsoft Office including Excel, WEB PDM
· Experience in product development in apparel in related field.
· Garment construction knowledge
