Candidate will be responsible for conducting ongoing media outreach (broadcast, print and online), writing and distributing pitches and press releases, developing on-going social media content, maintaining strong relationships with key bloggers and online media, and assisting with facilitating strategic alliances for the brand. Additionally, the candidate will assist with identifying and proactively promoting products, industry events and influencer outreach and conceptualizing and implementing innovative press campaigns.
This candidate should be a creative, energetic and have proven experience with pitches and press releases, and tracking and analyzing media placements. A love of writing and creative brainstorming are essential. The ideal candidate will work closely with the CEO to manage varying projects and provide input and support wherever the department warrants. The candidate will need to be able to think proactively and quickly, exhibit strong judgment, and collaborate effectively with the product development and creative team.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven record in delivering measurable PR results across print, online and broadcast
• Exceptional writing skills
• Excellent verbal communicator
• A proactive nature and hands-on approach
• Keen communication and research skills, proven experience with media lists, pitches and press releases, and tracking and analyzing media placements
• Established media contacts with fashion and lifestyle editors / producers

• Hands on team player who works well under pressure
• Must be willing to work on site 20-30 hours a week
• Must have 3-5 years successful PR experience
DESCRIPTION:
• Formulate and execute PR strategy together with CEO
• Brainstorm and come up with innovative angles to sell to the press
• Write and broadcast regular press releases
• Develop a network of press contacts both nationally and regionally and position the brand and the founder as a spokesperson
• Identify and pursue networking events, speaker opportunities, exhibitions and other marketing opportunities
• Handle press enquiries/ crisis management
• Manage other forms of communication: blogs, forums, social media
• Act as overall brand ambassador building and positioning our brand awareness and exposure
