The Associate Merchandising Site Manager is responsible for managing the first phase of the design submission and approval process with our designer network. His/her main goal is to maximize the revenue of each design via visual merchandising throughout the site, reporting and analysis, merchandising research/trend analysis, and product recommendations for marketing. This person will provide input into our company’s bridal stationery merchandising strategy (on www.weddingpaperdivas.com), optimize the merchandising mix for each occasion, and collaborate with our team on design direction. He/she will also work closely with designers to maximize the design acceptance rate.
Responsibilities:
1. Own visual merchandising for our bridal and personal stationery verticals. Drive creative process for creating and maintaining all site landing pages; optimize visual merchandising on all category pages throughout the week.
2. Create and manage all designer-call outs related to our bridal and personal stationery collections. Solicit designer interest and ensure timely and quality submissions by designers.
3. Evaluate all incoming designs, in collaboration with the broader bridal merchandising design team.
4. Perform product analysis (sales, traffic, conversion) to optimize future design collections.
5. Research merchandising trends (competitors/industry research) and designers. Identify new designer and merchandising product opportunities by staying on top of stationery and fashion trends within the bridal/general stationery markets.
6. Provide product recommendations to marketing; maintain physical and digital product sample libraries.
7. Conduct final QA and provide designer notification of all new products that have launched.
8. Educate and train other departments on upcoming merchandising collection launches.
Experience:
1. Minimum education level = Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
2. Experience in a retail company (stationery, wedding, gifts, or baby) a plus
3. Experience in an e-commerce company a plus
4. Prior experience with a start-up a plus
Knowledge, Ability, Skills
1. Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
2. Excellent computer and Internet skills with high proficiency in all MS Office applications, especially Excel
3. Knowledge of digital printing technology and print production a plus
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills- ability to effectively and concisely communicate and build relationships with designers
5. Completely accountable and willing to do anything to get the job done
6. Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and resourceful
7. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment and willing to go above and beyond to produce excellent work
